RAFT FLOOR SLABS

Ribraft Floors

This innovative method of concrete floor construction sits ‘on’ the ground not ‘in’ the ground making it seismically strong.

Ribraft floors are a type of above ground engineered flooring system, known as a raft foundation. An engineered ribraft floor consists of a layer of polystyrene blocks which are put in between reinforcing rods before the concrete is poured.

Advantages of choosing Ribraft Concrete Flooring

Ribraft floors are becoming increasingly popular for both commercial and residential construction projects due to their many benefits. Ribraft slab flooring is ideal for projects where a conventional concrete slab would be too thick or expensive, such as small commercial buildings, warehouses, and residential foundation and floor slabs.

Advantages of choosing Ribraft Concrete Flooring

  • Reduced thickness
  • Improved thermal efficiency
  • Increased structural strength
  • Quicker installation
  • Minimal excavation

In addition, concrete raft floors can be installed on all types of ground, regardless of land classification. As a result, ribraft floor slabs offer an ideal solution for a wide range of construction projects.
